Shabbat Service – Tefillot shel Shabbat
Beth Torah is a participatory and egalitarian synagogue, where congregants lead services with Rabbi Zelony, and serve as weekly Torah readers. Men and women share equally in all aspects of religious observance, and you will frequently find recent Bar and Bat-Mitzvah “graduates” on the bimah leading or reading.
Shabbat Services at Beth Torah are primarily congregant led and there are many opportunities to get involved. For more information on leading the services, please contact Chuck Smith at email@example.com or call the Rabbi’s office (972.234.1542)
Friday night services begin at 6:30 PM each week unless otherwise noted on our calendar.
At our Kabbalat Shabbat service on Friday evening, we welcome Shabbat with prayer and song. For Shabbat Services & Candle Lighting Times click here to return the home page. Friday evening services are normally approximately one hour in length.
Shabbat Morning services begin at 9:30 AM each week.
Held in our Sanctuary, our services use Siddur Sim Shalom and Etz Hayim chumash. Transliterations are available to help anyone participate. Shabbat morning services are usually finished around noon and followed by a Kiddush Lunch for all.
Daily minyan is held every Sunday at 8:30 AM and every Monday at 6:45 AM.
Our morning minyan is a cornerstone of who we are; We meet the needs of our community through supporting one another in a time of mourning and saying kaddish.
If you’re not ready to make a weekly commitment, please consider attending once or twice during the month of your birthday.
Monday Parsha Study
Join members of CBT for a light breakfast and Parsha study following Monday Morning Minyan. Unless it’s a festival, or secular holiday, minyan starts at 6:45 with breakfast and discussion to immediately follow.
Our Junior Congregation meets on Saturday mornings and is geared toward children K through 5th Grade. Led by Eli Davidsohn, a highly regarded talent in the Dallas Jewish community, this service teaches younger members of our community the core elements of Shabbat worship in a musically rich context.
We have a special service for our toddlers and their parents, grandparents, or special friends on the second and fourth Saturday mornings of the month at 11:00 AM. Singing, dancing, storytelling and fun-filled ritual education entertain, enthrall and envelop our youngest members and the future of our congregation. For additional information contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Shabbat Shalom Bayit
Congregation Beth Torah’s family service is for families and their children in grades kindergarten through 6th grade. Celebrate Shabbat in a fun and interactive service, with your family and friends, and plan to remain for CBT’s Kiddush luncheon following the sanctuary service.
Shabbat Shalom Bayit meets monthly at 10:30 AM, in place of Junior Congregation, in the Multi-Purpose Room and is led by Ruth Schor, Eli Davidson, and includes active involvement of children and parents. Upcoming dates for 2014 are March 22 & April 19. For additional information contact email@example.com.
Service transliterations are available in the foyer outside the sanctuary for both Friday evening and Saturday morning services. The transliterations are also available for download.
