Large Enough to Serve You
Small Enough to Know You

Adult Education

Welcome to the exciting programs of the Adult Education committee! Our mission is simple–to provide a variety of exceptional programs and opportunities for continuing, lifelong education to the CBT community and to the greater Dallas community of learners. Our programming objectives are equally simple:

  • Improve Service Hebrew literacy
  • Increase understanding of Judaism’s history, culture, and beliefs
  • Understand issues affecting World Jewry and Israel
  • Explore the scholarship of our faith
  • Have fun learning

Our programs are offered in several formats ranging from single session events to multi-session courses taught by individuals with the education and knowledge to make the classes meaningful and credible. There are two ways to participate:

  • Attend courses
  • Be on the committee to produce courses and events

A few examples of programs we wish to continue and/or implement anew include:

  • Jewish social equality
  • Scholar in Residence programming
  • Yom HaShoah
  • Service literacy and leadership
  • Torah/Haftorah reading
  • Adult B’nai Mitzvah
  • Evenings with brilliant guest speakers
  • “Know Before you Go” – wonderful preparation for Israel travels
  • Kashrut – from the joys of cooking to everything else joyful

May we go in peace and may we bless each other with our loving-kindness.
