Busy Month Ahead

We have such a wonderful and busy month ahead! But before I get to all of that, I just want to say THANK YOU to our wonderful volunteers and congregants! Being at a variety of events over the last month just reminded me of how fortunate we are. We have celebrated and mourned together quite a bit; from a baby naming, two auf rufs, a special
Inclusion Shabbat, a wonderful tribute to a special congregant from his visiting family from all over the US, hosting the larger community at the World Wide Wrap, Purim festivities, to the loss of dear ones. In all of it, our members constantly step up with their time, devotion, and heart to make every gathering a special one. Thank you to every one of you! You make Beth Torah a very special place.

We have lots more opportunities coming up to be together and bond together with two B’Nai Mitzvot and Spirit Night at Ben & Jerry’s, benefiting Learning Center, on March 6 from 6PM to 9PM. Thank you to Robyn and Hunter Rose for sponsoring this event. 15% of proceeds will come back to our kids.

We will be having a congregational In–Home Shabbat on March 16. Please go to our website to sign up with your preferences. It is also Men’s Club Shabbat March 16 and 17 so we hope you’ll join us as our Men’s Club lead services and then stay for our weekly Kiddush lunch.

The 25th annual Kosher Chili Cook–off at Tiferet Israel is Sunday, March 18, 11AM and 4PM. As always, Beth Torah will have a team and we are still looking for volunteers to help cover our booth. Please contact Liz Cox if would like to volunteer. Otherwise, come by and vote for our team’s chili!

Please join us for the JCRC Interfaith Seder on Thursday, March 22! There is still time to register at The Seder will be led by Rabbi Zelony and Bishop Burns of the Dallas Catholic Diocese, with special visitors and speakers. It will be a special evening.

Our annual Congregational Community Seder for the 2nd night of Passover is March 31. Stacey Clark will be catering again this year and Rabbi Zelony and Beri Schwitzer will lead us in another engaging Seder for all ages. Please go to http://cbtnews/cbtseder to register. Space is limited!

Wow, so many great opportunities to be together! I look forward to sharing these wonderful community gatherings with my special community at Beth Torah!
